Wonderful vintage 1940s WWII navy blue nurse's cape!
Made from dark navy wool with lighter bright blue wool lining
Notch collar with a metal hook and eye closure
Inner coin pocket
Embroidered initials W.C.H. on the collar (this was usually the name of the hospital the nurse worked at)
Two fabric fasteners attached with round buttons close the cape front
Inside lining has a metal chain at the back neck to hang the cape up
Original owner's initials G.R.R embroidered under the label
